INDIA WAKE UP BEFORE ANOTHER DELHI CASE TAKES PLACE by Priyanka Dube!!!

MEMBER's BLOG POST -->>

             Everyone in this nation knows about Delhi Rape Case. I have already written about it in 3 posts of mine and I would be writing more as I just can't stop thinking about the whole scenario that took place. Because tomorrow it can happen again. I own blog and hence I have a space where I can speak up with all of you about such issues. Last time, when my cousin sister spoke over my blog about an issue- it was about Guwahati Molestation case. This time, she wanted to speak over Delhi Rape Case and she is with her anger and fury, once again to talk to us. Let's hear what she has to say. I asked her to keep it little calmer as it's not easy to speak about such issues in public where Government is involved but yet, she dared and I, as a brother, allowed her to find her own zone.

FOREWORD BY PRIYANKA DUBE:

               Bhai published my write-up last time during Guwahati's case and I received some valuable comments. :-) Thank you, readers, for the positive response and there are no words to explain my gratitude towards you, Bhai. As usual, Bhai, you are again responsible for this article and for every article I may write in the near future. So, I am here, once again, to do my bit for our nation with another article which may at least wake up one citizen of our country.

INDIA WAKE UP BEFORE ANOTHER DELHI CASE TAKES PLACE:-

         The world watched it today. The people of India saw his condition today. The torture inflicted on his mind was evident today. He is the one who dared to fight at least till his conscious mind allowed him to. He saw his friend’s life shatter to pieces within hours. He’s the HERO of today’s youth. His conscience is justified today. But is the conscience of ‘We the People of India’s’ justified today?

           Humanity is shattered today. Though the system is responsible but are WE not equally RESPONSIBLE? Where were we when the 2 poor people needed humans to help them out at the most tortured point of their life? We would say this happened in Delhi, the citizens should have helped them out. But is it just about Delhi citizens? NO. It is about US. Let us for just once have a replay of our own existence. Somewhere we will realize that we have overseen or tried to act indifferent to some cruelty that took place right in front of our eyes. It’s not just about the rape victims. It is about how basic humanity has been slowly shattered and forgotten. It is we who change the channel when something disturbing is being displayed because we cannot digest it. We simply change the channel commenting how our dear country is going down the drains. Is that enough?

         When during the general elections we do not go and cast our votes (which apparently is our basic right and duty as a citizen of India) then how exactly can we blame someone else for misusing or manhandling us? The system is no doubt corrupt but what have we done from our individual side to make it work better? And even if we have done something is it enough according to us?  Some of us would say but we did cast our votes BUT did we try and encourage the mind of the ones whom we knew who did not want to exercise their basic right and foremost duty? We would say we are busy but don’t you think that even if each one of us could change the mind of a single person the world would be better place to live and breathe? The whole system is floored but we have allowed its gradual degradation.

          The hero of our country asked whether ‘Candle March’ was enough to solve the problems of country. We know the answer is NO. Though they are important but we at the very grass root level need to change. We need to start behaving HUMANS or ‘INSAAN’ once again. ‘INSAANIYAT’ NEEDS TO WAKE UP AGAIN. Basic things like casting votes, behaving humans with other humans, respecting our elders, helping a person is distraught are OUR BASIC DUTY AS HUMANS. Though these things are small but isn’t the saying famous that ‘TAKE CARE OF THE SMALL THINGS AND THE BIGGER ONES WILL FALL INTO PLACE’. It’s high time that we change from being ‘I’ to being ‘WE’.

           As TEACHERS we can teach our students humanity at the very tender age that will stay with them till their death and who also happen to be the future of our country. As TEENAGERS we can for once hold discussions about HUMANITY and not just our careers, as citizens our role in our very own country and not just our favorite games, etc. As heads of different teaching institutions impart HUMANITY by holding debates and not just talking about marks. From US being mere ‘SPECTATORS’ to ’ACTIVE PARTICIPATORS’. From not just taking part in candle marches and thinking our role is over but to keeping the light of the candles burning in our heart and soul and not forgetting our cause.

NO ONE of US WANTS ANOTHER DAMINI IN OUR COUNTRY. WE THE PEOPLE OF OUR COUNTRY WILL HAVE TO MAKE OUR COUNTRY A PLACE AGAIN FIT FOR OUR SISTERS, MOTHERS, OUR FELLOW CITIZENS & BECOME ONCE AGAIN PROUD INDIANS. WE WILL HAVE TO CHANGE BECAUSE IT IS OUR COUNTRY.

Thanks

Priyanka Dube !!!
