Parents, you are as Defective as us!!! Take This!!!

607th BLOG POST -->>

           I got a mail from a 13 years old boy for my last blog about Parents. His concern is that why do I keep talking about Parents as if they are Real God. His major query is that why don't I point out the mistakes and senseless things that parents do as humans. Actually that was quite a long mail so I had just summarized it. But somewhere he had the right point of view. I personally find some inappropriateness in my parents and in every one's but I never talk about them as I don't want any child to show my Blog to their parent and say "Ye dekho, aap logon ki maari hai". :-) But today, I would like to speak on some extremes and nonsensical suggestions that parents keep on giving and keep on expecting that we will do each of them to become what they dream us to be. But they never think about the fact that even when they are meant to be seen as God by us, they are human in some way and they need to do those things first before suggesting them to us. Right? I know many children are seeing me as their God at the moment. Ok sorry. This is too much. :-) I want you to read more and don't go away thinking that this man is self-proclaimed God. Hahaha! I know only I'm laughing on this joke. Such a loser I am!

          Every time I wear a T-shirt and my belly that is almost developing as a huge balloon becomes visible, the first thing that my father has to say is "Better start exercising". And this sentence frustrates me like Shahrukh gets frustrated by Salman in Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam (Ok Sorry again. Actually I am nervous as I am writing on something that is meant to be kept in heart :-)). Every time I fall sick or I retire soon while applying physical strength while performing some heavy job, I get to hear the same crap again "You have wasted your last 22 years of life in deteriorating your body, at least start exercising now". And he suggests me to get up at 5 AM and exercise since I was in 2nd standard (as I can remember). Why doesn't parents understand that we are not meant to do what they say, but a child only does what he sees his parents doing. A child sees right from when he starts understanding the world that his parents get up in morning at 7, freshen themselves, brush their teeth, bathe and then get ready with new ironed cloths for going to work. So a child does the same once he is able to perform his tasks by himself. If he would have seen that his parents exercise in the early morning, he would have done the same. But parents never did it. And is exercising limited to an age group? Is it not meant for those who have crossed their 40? or 50? or 60? Then why don't they preach the same themselves and then ask us to do? Hain, parents? Boliye!!

        In the same way, every father says to his child,"You shouldn't avoid newspaper. You should read each and every article of it. It will give you immense knowledge". And when you don't do it, they say "This newspaper vendor is paid every month just for you. And you aren't reading it. Such a lazy guy you are". Huh! Fathers, is your age over? Or are you the one who writes all the articles and publish them? Even you are meant to read it. As, studying and gaining knowledge does not have any age limit. Then, why don't you? If we would have seen you reading it, we would have read it too just because we would have been ashamed of the fact that our father reads it even at this age while we aren't when it is much needed to us. So next time, newspaper comes, do make it sure that both of us are reading it together. :-)

          Whenever we used to ignore our course books (in school, hence this is in past tense as I'm in college now), the one thing that every father-mother said to their children was "Hamare samay mein hum tab tak padha karte they jab tak Suraj nahi nikal jaata tha. Kabhi kabhi toh pata bhi nahi chalta tha k Suraj kab nikal gaya" Bwahahaha!!! Now, when I stay awake till 8-9 AM in the morning for studying, completing assignments, writing blog, reading novel and Bhagawad Geeta etc, I am being asked to sleep at 11 PM to take care of my health. Arre, but why? I am doing the same that you claim to have done in your childhood, right? The last time I chatted with my father, he just kept lecturing me for sleeping at 11 PM and getting up at 6 in the morning. How can I, dad? If this would have been so recommended, I would have seen you getting up early in the morning(except when you have to catch the train which is of 8 AM or something).

          In the similar way, whenever I sit my parents to watch Indian Idol or any other talent-based show, he starts "Dekha beta, how they are dedicated for their passion" or whenever a personality like Amitabh Bachchan tells about his hard work, again "Seekha karo in logon se kuch". Arey mere pyaare pitaji, Amitabh Bachchan ji aapse bhi 20 saal bujurg hai umarr mein, even you have lots of things to learn from him. And when you'll learn, I'll be proud of you so much that I'll start following you. Whenever a contestant wins Lakhs in Crorepati, "Beta, even you start preparing for this". My heart says,"Why don't you, papa? There's no age limit to participate in the show. Why only me? Why can't you? Have you achieved the BEST one can?" Paagal ho gaya hun main aaj.

         Parents should remember that children only learn what they have seen their parents doing since they got sense. You brushed your teeth regularly, hence we did it too considering the fact that it is something which is to be followed regularly. We saw you bathing daily hence we do it. Else there are some children who don't bathe regularly because their parents doesn't. :-) There is lot of things even for parents to learn. But just because you are someone whom we are meant to consider as GOD, does not mean that you are really a GOD. You will have to learn yourself first to make your child feel proud of you so that he does the same. And therefore, when you enforce us sometimes to do bigger things and we achieve more than you, we say something in arrogance to you that makes you feel as you are being humiliated by your own child. We don't do it purposely but your continuous poking and nudging kills the patience. Understand this. Hence, the next time, you ask us to do or follow something, you start it first and then set your example for us; because for us, you are God, not Amitabh Bachchan or Sachin Tendulkar or those contestants winning lakhs in Crorepati and title in Indian Idol. We, hereby, claim that we will do whatever you ask us to, if you are already doing it regularly. Else, we will start it whenever our mind and heart will push us to.

           Finally END. I apologize to some sensitive and conventional Parents for this post. :-)

  Thanks.

Parents will agree. How dare they say NO to me for You?

606th BLOG POST -->>

         I was digging something from my past that is almost the longest odyssey of my life: and I got stuck at a moment where I found myself arguing with my mother for something. And that "something" was related to "Someone". And that "Someone" was none other than a girl I had in my life. For every Winning Guy, they always "had" a girl in life, they never "have" it. :-) Enough of motivation for someone like me who can never win a girl in life, no matter what. :-) Ask any juvenile boy, what's the basics of your life just as your father vindicates Food, Shelter, Cloth and Money on the top of his list, he'll end up saying Huge Pocket money, a Bike, a Laptop, a Data-card, Multimedia mobile and branded cloths. And if you'll ask him why does he need all this. He'll reply,"Actually, these are the secondary basics that is indispensable in my life. I want them for getting my Primary basic, that's a GIRLFRIEND". And you may end cutting your ears or hitting your head for hearing something that is so void and useless. But unfortunately, you'll get to hear this from 99 pratishat jawaan janta of our nation.

            And I was also in the category of these 99% losers until God made me fall in love with good books that made me realize what's important and unimportant in life. Today, when I fall into a reverie of fighting with my parents after 5 years to marry a girl(who would be working in my office) whom I would be loving like a Romeo just because I had committed her that I'll never leave away in any condition, I just feel like switching off my mind or blaming God for bringing these useless brainstorming topics in my mind. I mean how can I fight with parents for someone who is still to do 1% of what my parents did for me throughout their journey of getting their black hair transformed into snow-colored hair? How do we take our parents so granted even when we have heard it from 99 out of 100 people in our life that "Parents are God"? There is a stupid answer to this.

             Each and everyone of us know the amount of love and vinous our parents have for us. We did see and observe it in our childhood that even when he did something very unacceptable, we did get dinner from our mother who didn't talk to us even while placing the plate of food below our nose. We understood that it's the unconditional love of parents that is letting us get the same treatment like every normal day even when the environment is more hotter than Delhi at the moment. When we always came late by 1 hour after playing in the evening, and our father made us stand out of the house for hours saying that he'll make us stand for the whole night, we always knew that we will be sleeping comfortable in our bed after few minutes. We knew that our father needs us more than showing his fatherhood. And this is something which makes today's youth shout, fight, argue, humiliate parents because they know, Aaj nahi toh kal maanna hi padega inhe.

             And something for which the youth shows this indifference for parents are because of two relationships- "Love" and "Friendship". For once, I might agree that it's acceptable to shout at parents just as an arrogant kid like Sonam Kapoor would be shouting at her house servants. But, then we should also shout on those with whom we share these two relationship status with. Can you shout with the same volume at your girlfriend/boyfriend just as you did with your parents when they said No to your Night-out plan? Yes, the same night-out plan where you told them that you would be staying at your friend's house but secretly decided to get cozy with your girlfriend at a friend's farm-house out of the town. Can you shout with the same volume at your Best Friend when he asks you to cheat your parents and go with him for a stupid movie that has nothing to do with your life? Can you shout at your Principal of the School/College just as you shout at your parents? I know your arrogant side is getting humiliated, but still I'll continue.

            A husband shouts at wife because he knows that she is not going to leave him. A child shouts at parents because he knows they love him whatever the case is. A sister shouts at his brother because she knows that he sees her as a kid and will never shout back. But why does the same people run like mice when they see the one for whom they fought with their best relations? One gets his ball stuck in his throat when he sees his Boss coming towards himself and the same mutt goes home and shouts at everyone like a King. It's enough, guys. Just because we know that there are certain relationships where we'll get whatever we imagine just because they can't leave us as they are addicted to love us, doesn't mean that we should test their patience. Therefore, when I remembered the moment when I was fighting with my mother for that BLOODY HER who left me just after months of that stupid argument, I realized how we take some relationships for granted. No, we should not. In spite, we should scold them with whom we are insecure about. We always have that Pendulum performing its mechanism in our mind which questions "Will he/she stay with me if I'll disagree to what they're asking me to?". For the persons these pendulum is disturbing you, shout at them and let them move away. But, the ones you know will love you in whatever condition, even if you agree or disagree or even ignore them, never raise your voice against these people. Respect them. AS GOD. And then taste the serene and divine sweetness of life and BEST RELATIONS. :-)

         THANKS.

Gangs of Wasseypur.. Keh Ke Leli.. Aur Main Fir Dene Jaunga :-)

605th BLOG POST -->>

            I still remember the day I went for Phir Hera Pheri and expected to laugh without caring about the other audiences who would be sitting around me. And the movie started off well, was moving to become something that I would have appreciated but the last scene of the movie made me so angry that I made it sure that I won't watch the 3rd part of the series. I was angry that how can a promising comical movie director- Priyadarshan end a movie in such a way that the whole fun of the movie gets trashed somewhere in your mind. But now, after coming out of Gangs of Wasseypur and remembering the last scene of the movie where it comes written "Picture abhi baaki hai..", I had a smile on my face and an eagerness to watch the second part like hell. This time I am angry on Director for making me wait for the second part of something that kept my heart with itself. :-) Not every one can divide a single movie in two parts flawlessly. Kudos to Anurag Kashyap.

             "Gangs of Wasseypur" is a story of revenge that keeps on passing to different generations. Now, many of you may say what's so great about the story line when it has something that Agneepath, Hathyar and Rakht Charitra also had. Some thing is known as "Treatment" to the story and to make it in your own way such that you feel it's a unique story line and it has nothing to do with the story line seen before. And that's what Anurag Kashyap does with every movie of his. He cannot form something that is out of this world, he has to take a story from the incidents happening on our planet, but to present it in a way that it looks as if you never saw it before is what makes Anurag Kashyap stand apart from other contemporary movie-directors.

            As I don't want to waste my time in telling the basic story line, I am pasting what is written at Wikipedia- "Towards the end of colonial India, Sahid Khan loots the British trains, impersonating the legendary Sultana Daku. Now outcast, Shahid becomes a worker at Ramadhir Singh's colliery, only to spur a revenge battle that passes on to generations. At the turn of the decade, Shahid's son, the philandering Sardar Khan vows to get his father's honor back, becoming the most feared man of Wasseypur. Staying true to its real life influences, the film explores this revenge saga through the socio-political dynamic in erstwhile Bihar (North India), in the coal and scrap trade mafia of Wasseypur, through the imprudence of a place obsessed with mainstream 'Bollywood' cinema"

           The best part of the movie was its starcast. Not only Manoj Bajpayee steals the show but everyone is so perfect in the role that you can't imagine them as  Sophisticated celebrities in the real life. And that's what makes a movie experience better than reading about it in a Historical Fiction book. :-) The way Anurag Kashyap blends the songs in his movie such that the pace does not get slower and you enjoy- Song and movie both at the same time. A wonderful task. Even when the movie is about Males fighting with each other, you don't forget the ladies in the movie after coming out. Two wives of Manoj Bajpayee and the crush of his elder son- Huma Qureshi gets froze in your mind. The humor is something to look out for. North-Indian dialogues will make you laugh. Whenever any man of the story shares the screen space with his wife/crush, it'll make you feel embarrassed as they're really cheesy. Haha. And there isn't a plethora of abuses that people are talking of.

            The major drawback of the movie is its length of 2 Hours 40 Minutes. Another is the first half an hour where all the characters with new faces are introduced and you feel like pulling your hair as you can't remember them easily. Movie is too intelligent so if you miss any 2 minutes in thinking about your office's deadline, college's pending assignment or how are you going to balance your Extra-marital affair, you will lose the fun later on. :-) Some dialogues are said in such a low volume that you end up missing it even when your 2000% concentration is on the movie.

          Else, I am waiting for Gangs of Wasseypur Part-2 like hell. I just can't imagine how will I wait to watch the 2nd part as I want to know how will this Gang saga of Wasseypur ends. They have already covered 1940 to 2004 in this first part. And the characters of Part-2 are already introduced intellectually in the last half an hour of this part. So, that is going to be a Mind Blasting experience right from the first minute. :-) And Yeah, you will get to see the trailer of Part 2 while watching this one.

         In the end, Anurag Kashyap ke Gangs of Wasseypur ne Keh ke Le Li.. Aur main fir apni dene jaunga Part 2 ke aane par.. :-)

         Thanks.
