Sachin's 200*(147) is always better than Watson's 185*(96).

            388TH BLOG -->>

        I am unable to control myself whenever I think of writing about Cricket. This year, Cricket has shown us so many miracles that each time I hear anything about Cricket, I just go crazy and blah-blah over it. I find no other topic more interesting than Cricket. IPL fever is going on. Jacques Kallis has Orange Cap with him. Tendulkar is chasing him to give him a tough condition like the last year. Kallis and Tendulkar, both are such players that you can't miss even a single shot played by them. They have magnificent batting skill. I have always loved both of them just not because they bat furiously but because they have a calm and cool attitude while playing even the biggest inning of their career while you see Ponting and you will find an aggression on his face and a pride that it is only him who can do this and no one else. Hats off to Sachin Tendulkar and Jacques Kallis.

            I hope everyone of you remember the day when Sachin Tendulkar scored 200* of 147 balls. It happened on 24th February 2010. I still remember the day and date very clearly. I started playing cricket with my childhood friends when I was in 5th std because before that no one used to talk to me as I used to be very studious and boring. I got to know little bit about Cricket and its rules and regulations. I asked them with an innocent accent that what is the highest score made by any cricketer in a match? Saurabh, one of my childhood friend used to know all the information and records of Cricket and he replied with a confidence," Saeed Anwar's 194 and that too against our India". This one sentence became a Himalaya in my mind. Whenever I used to see any match and saw a cricketer completing his 100 and getting off from the field till 120 runs or maximum 150, I used to think that how can someone score 194 in a match. The only question which used to come in my mind every time since then was that will anyone be able to break his record and score 195 runs. I still never thought of 200 runs or a Double-century by a player. But the day Tendulkar did it, I started believing that he is a human form of God and I made him my idol right from 24th February, 2010 and started writing several articles on his every performance, either on my blog or somewhere else on any other sites.

              Yesterday, on 11th April, 2011, Shane Watson played against Bangladesh while batting in the second inning while chasing 229 runs and scored 185* in 96 balls. He created the World Record of highest numbers of Six in a match i.e. 15 Sixes. He broke the record of 12 Sixes. With this average, he would have scored 350+ with 29 sixes. But how can we calculate this? If a team hits 6 Sixes in the very first over and the rain wipes out the match, can we predict that if they would have batted till the 50th over, they would have scored 1800 Runs? Obviously No. Watson could have been out at 186th run. Right? So predicting that he could have scored a Triple century or a Double Century is a rubbish. People even said that he had chances to break Sachin's record of Double Century and creating a new history.

              Cricket is such a game where everything is unpredictable. Lara scored 400*. After that some cricketers have managed to surpass the milestone of a Triple century in an inning but no one could touch his 400*. Therefore, Lara remains the best player of Test match with the highest runs (in an inning) on the board. I still believe that the 200* of Sachin Tendulkar is greater than Shane Watson's 185*. You may say that Watson was playing in the second innings therefore he failed to cross the record of Sachin Tendulkar. If this is what you have to say then there are many batsmen whose performances can be said better than 200* on this basis. Shahid Afridi have scored the second-fastest 50 in 2 matches by completed it in 18 balls both the times and the third-fastest 50 too in a match by scoring it in 19 balls. So, if he would have played with the same rate, he would have touched 200 in at most 80 balls. So, is his strike better than Watson's 185 of 96 balls?

              Coming to the fastest-century, Shahid Afridi did it in 37 balls and he has also scored the 4th fastest century in 45 balls. So, with this rate, he would have scored 200 in 74 balls and 90 balls only respectively. So, is his strike better than Sachin's 200* or Watson's 185* ? No. So for me, Sachin's 200* still remains a lot better than Watson's 185* in 96 balls with 24 overs still remaining to bat. There are many reasons but I would like to point out few here to pellucid little of your's doubt if there are any. Sachin's 200* came against the champion team - South Africa having World-class bowlers while Watson's 185* is against a small team- Bangladesh. Sachin's 200* came in the pressure as he had a houseful stadium in his home-country - India while Watson did in an empty stadium without any pressure in Dhaka. Sachin did it in his crucial age of 36 when most players retire from the game while he did it in his young age of 29. Sachin did it on the Ground of full-size while Watson did it on a small ground. Watson made a record of highest number of Sixes in an inning i.e.15 while Sachin made two records of highest number of Fours in an inning i.e. 25 and also making the highest runs in an inning in ODI match.

               I have many more points to prove that Watson's 185* is nothing in front of Sachin's 200* but I do agree that hitting those runs in such less balls is really an inning. I also bow down to Watson because hitting 15 Sixes is a miraculous effort. I also bow down to him because he raised the bar of batting once again for every cricketer. Many of you may think that I am insecure after this inning of Watson but this is not the case. I just tried to analyze both the innings and find out which one is the better. I saw Sachin's inning's highlight for 4 times from the DVD I have and Watson's inning's highlight for 4 times on NEO Cricket and concluded that the one from Sachin is an interesting inning while the one from Watson is just a normal inning as we see many a times in Cricket.

              I don't want to boast more about Tendulkar now. This much is enough for the day. ;-)

            Thanks.

Anna Hazare is the true Indian !!!

            387TH BLOG -->>

        I remember the post I wrote recently with a title - Can Indians be Egyptians? If I would have known that my countrymen are better than those of Egypt, I would have changed the title or if I would have known that my countrymen are going to prove me their credentials, I would not have attempted that blog. When the destruction of the country was carried out by the Egyptians at Tahrir Square, I was thinking just a question that will anything as such will happen in my country too? Will the people of my country unite to drop the government or make the government bow down to them to stop everythnig and agree to them. But the only answer extracted after thinking for several times was No. I believed that my country will always remain the same and my countrymen will always sit quietly like me and will wait to see miracles happening naturally. Every Indian has a tendency and propensity to wait for someone else to stand up against an evil cause and then everyone will follow him/her so that whatever stringent action are to be taken will be implied on the originator and not the motivators.

              One day when I was walking from Belapur station to my college, I was handed a pamphlet which said India Against Corruption. It also carried an image of Anna Hazare which said that he is going for a hunger strike to challenge government for their faults. I thought that this is one more fruitless and null movement against Government. I literally thought that how can the hunger-strike of one such man will change the country's hereditary blessing of corruption. I concluded that this is one more nautanki in my nation. But, on the 2nd day when I saw on the media channels the support of this man - Anna Hazare, I came to know that what he was fighting for and the purity behind his standings and voice. He is called Gandhian as he follows his way of avoiding violence and convincing people with non-violence and silence.

             Suddenly, I got into the protest and fasted with Anna Hazare for a day to let the government know that people and youth are with Anna Hazare. Anna Hazare wanted Lokpal bill to be active and a panel to be formed who will probe into all the corruption cases of the nation. his demand also said that there will be no politician in the panel. He wanted common people like us to be in the panel and he had some recommendations which consisted of the former judges of Supreme court and High court. Government seemed to be shocked to see the support of people with Anna Hazare. It is very rare in our country that we see all the people together fighting for a single cause. Mostly, we see it when Sachin Tendulkar is batting. Recently, India won the World Cup and the unity of people was scene in the late night parties after the win. Everyone was dancing and celebrating together without bothering whether the person with whom I am dancing can be of my opposite caste, creed, region or language.

              Anna Hazare received a tremendous support from everyone in the country. There were incidents shared on media channels where they told that one man saw an another man shouting in support of Anna Hazare, he asked him did the Lokpal bill got acceptance? He turned around with a grin on his face and asked what is this Lokpal bill. Such was an effect of Anna Hazare that people didn't knew what the case was but still they were supporting him because it was something which would help corruption to disappear from the life of Indians. There were many people who said that will the corruption really stop after the panel is formed? After they got the answer as No, their next statement was - Then why is so much nautanki in the nation? On this, my friend Rohit on Twitter stated very correctly that the charge on Murder case is to hang till death but did the murder stop in India? No. So, corruption will always be there but people will fear and panic while thinking about corruption. And I wanted people to support rather than thinking what would happen after the protest and will the corruption really go or not and if not, then why am I wasting my time here. See, at least we got a man who challenged the government against corruption, so what's the problem in supporting him. Let the circumstances be opposite to what you thought but at least a support of ours can strengthen the side of Anna Hazare and we will get something related to managing and confining the corruption.

             At last, Anna Hazare won and government had to surrender. They agreed to form a panel till 30th June and Anna had warned them. He said if I don't get your proper response on the prescribed date, be ready for the dharna. It is wonderful. The whole world knows about Anna now and his Gandhian approach of breaking the government's wrong policy. It is definitely better than what Libya and Arabians adopted. We won it without any tod-fod and violence. There was no curfew and no traffic. There were just heart-beats and several chants in chorus to support the man. Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Christian - everyone celebrated together for the man because he did as an Indian rather than as a local party or a state. The people of India got its Mahatma Gandhi and a National hero. People have started following his path. It is very difficult for a 74 years old man to survive without food for 4 days. I fast for a day and I start clamouring Food Food as soon as evening begins. I saw the last days of my Dadaji and he expired with a suffering body at the age of 72. I just can't imagine him being hungry for 5 days. Anna Hazare is 2 years old than him. I respect him a lot. He is the real champ. No one can ever point his character as he dedicated all his life for India rather than continuing his job.

             A big salute to the man.

              Thanks.

My Goddess's 44th Birthday !!!

           386TH BLOG -->>

       The clock has alarmed 12 AM and hence its 11th April today. I celebrated my mother's birthday yesterday i.e. on 10th April. I was damn excited for my mother's birthday from 1 week but I didn't tell her about the excitement as I knew that she don't remember that it is her birthday in the same month when Cricket fever is on its par so I decided to give her a surprise. Everyone is engaged in Cricket and so is she. The fever of Cricket is such that person may take some time to tell his name if asked while a nail-biting match is on. So it was somewhat obvious that my mother will forget her birthday. This time, my mother turned 44. There are some similarities and co-ordination between my birthday and my mother's birthday. Her birthday is on 10/4 (10 April) while my birthday is on 4/10 (4 October). She was born at the time of Summer Navratri while I was born at the time of Winter Navratri. She was born in 1967 while I was born in 1989. Remove the initial 19 and unite both the years which will make the number 6789. I feel so joyous to see such miracles of number between my and my mother's birthday.

            For my mother, I arranged cakes and cold-drinks so that as soon as 12 will strike on the clock, I'll greet her with cakes, pastries and cold-drinks. I did the same and she cried. She has seen very painful days recently as there are some problems creeping at her native place. I have told her to forget all those things as those things will always restrict you from smiling and compel your tears to open the doors and flow from the eyes. But saying is easy and suffering is difficult. She is already emotional and touchy that even a small mistake from my side moves her. So in comparison to this, the problem with which she is dealing is highly moving and disturbing. I hope my mother cope up with all those matters as soon as possible and starts smiling and celebrating the life so that even I can feel relaxed and cheerful. In the morning, an aunty arranged the breakfast of Idli-Sambhar and it was a great surprise. In the evening, our neighbours - Mr. and Mrs. Goswami bought sweet dish for her and we celebrated by tasting it. It was a delight to see them celebrating my mother's birthday as it's the birthday of someone closely attached to them. They are the best neighbors I have ever seen. I always heard people talking about the people living on the same floor they live on and now when I am experiencing the same fun, I am just enjoying it with all my heart. In the evening, they arranged the Chicken as the dinner but my mother refused to taste it as Navratri is going on and she performs all the ritual purely. I ate the chicken and it was damn tasty.

             When neighbors bought the sweet dish - Rasmalaai for my mummy and served it on the table and offered her initially with the best wishes for her birthday, she started weeping. That cry was because no one ever celebrated her birthday with such charms ever. She never thought that she may ever receive so much love and humbleness from the people she never knew. I don't know how much pain my mother is carrying in her heart but my only demand to the God is to please keep her happy and tension free. I don't like her crying for the reasons which has nothing to do with her beautiful life in Mumbai. She is little childish by nature so all the things just attack her heart first and not the mind which ruins her life and her beautiful moment of life.

              I have already said that in my previous blog post that whatever I do and try to do is to make my parents happy and proud of me. When I see the smile on my parent's face because of me, I feel that I am living a worthy life and not wasting myself. The day I brought that Trophy at home and my parents saw it, their eyes were seriously dazzling and shining. That shine like a diamond flew an ocean of satisfaction and happiness in my heart. It is hard to impress parents because they expect a lot from their children and if the child is single without any siblings, the expectations rise phenomenally. I try to augment my efforts so that I can manage to keep that smile on my parent's lips and face for lifetime. I have done lots of thing so that my mother can feel that her son is hard working and he will gift her something big in the future but she is still busy in being tensed about the issues which has nothing to do with her life. I don't know how to control that feeling of her's but I just pray God daily that keep the smile on her face intact and constant.

              On her 44th birthday, I am just wishing her lots of love and affection. May God always help her meet some good people who may keep her happy for the whole lifetime like some of the family friends who keep visiting our house occasionally to meet us. I pray a good health and a good future for her. May God bless me with all the Ups and Downs of life but give her only Ups and Ups in her life. I love you mummy and you are the best ever mom in the World. That's proved and I hope I'll prove myself to be the best son of the World. Love you lot.

            And, I would also like to thank all the Twitter friends those who know nothing about me but still wishing my mother a very happy birthday. may God bless you all.

             Thanks.
