AB TAK CHHAPPAN 2: 1/5

I haven't seen Ab Tak Chhappan but I got an opportunity to watch Ab Tak Chhappan 2. Nana Patekar is one of the best actors our industry have. I went to watch the movie with high expectations but I am deeply disappointed after what I watched on a big screen. I felt that Nana Patekar has not been given the kind of opportunity that he deserves. He is kept in such a lighter note that you do not feel that you are in an action movie that needs Nana run here and there in every frame.

Film starts showing him residing at a beach with his son after being expelled from police force. To drive himself away from Mumbai and its crime, he chooses this spot. He does small business of coconut and lives happily. His son often asks him why is he not being a policeman again even though he knows that his father still finds himself guilty of his mother's death. The increasing rate of crimes in Mumbai brings ministers and police force at his door to ask for his help. Finally, Nana agrees. But that also ignites hatred in few people from department seeing Nana taking their place and given much importance than them. From here, begins a little bit of action that Ab Tak Chhappan serves you.

The plot is very weak and even direction does not surprise you. The back ground music is very boring and even when wonderful scenes are running, the music makes you feel that it's just another scene. The best part has been the dialogues between Nana Patekar and Ashutosh Rana. That's the only time I smiled and loved the movie. The role of Gul Panag is also another savior of the movie. Otherwise, there's nothing special that Ab Tak Chhappan 2 delivers. A bad sequel, indeed. Disappointing! I give the movie 1 star out of 5.

 Thanks.
