YOU & Me & Our relationship by Nikhil Mukhija !!!

595th BLOG POST -->>

            As Chetan Bhagat said in one of his seminars- "The worst scenario that the youngsters are facing now-a-days is how to get our crush as our die-hard lovers", we, the youngsters are seriously going over the top to eliminate the relationship status of Singleness and add our Relationship partner soon on Facebook to surprise all our school friends that even a loser like us can have a sweet better-half. There are many of us, who till the age of 25, get successful in being in Timepass relationship(as we call it) for more than 3-4 times, while there are some who stay single throughout their life only to get married to a girl from their village being arranged by their parents. A reason why they have been single throughout their youth period is THAT fear of getting rejected and insulted from the one whom they love. And to your rescue, "This- Engineering student by his karma at Uiet, Kurukshetra hailing from Panchkula; Smitten by the Love bug,aspires to pursue marketing from a premier B-School; Apart from writing, pretends to be a Poet, a Singer, a Debator and spends his time studying psychology, philosophy, programming, stage handling and marketing- Mr. Nikhil Mukhija" has tried to eliminate THAT fear from the boys who are still scared to approach their crush/love through the 32 chapters of his Non-fiction book- "YOU AND ME & OUR RELATIONSHIP".

               YOU AND ME & OUR RELATIONSHIP is one of the most rarest book by an Indian author on this topic, else we have seen almost all the authors writing a fiction story on the similar topic. This book deals with almost all the factors that is stipulated to think about a girl before approaching her for a relationship. According to the author, you will fail without working on these factors. And even if you shall pass the first step of getting into a relationship with her, you may end up being a Dumped Guy after few days/months. And result would be- Either you will get too depressed to be of any use to this World or you will try your best to commit suicide and vindicate yourself in the list of "Losers" who didn't even think of his parents before dying on a silly reason of a girl's rejection. :-) Let me tell you personally, this book is not about getting your girlfriend who will turn your wife tomorrow, it is simply about how to approach the girl you started liking during your infatuation period and succeeding in making her your girlfriend. It's just about this. Because, the one with whom you shall marry will equally love you, you will not have to struggle so much to get her. Right?? (Sorry, Nikhil :-))

              First thing that I would like to say about Nikhil Mukhija is- He is one of the writers who came into the writing world by chance, but rather than taking it for granted like others, he is trying to be ambitious in each stage of his book's success. The book is still in its initial stage, but I wish this one to get bigger so that the guy gets motivation to write more such books on analysis and great observations. Even when I didn't agree to some of his perception on relationship, few of them were really thought-provoking and made me realize that "Yes, ye bhi galti ho sakti hai mujhse apni girlfriend k saath deal karne mein." :-)

              Coming to the book, the initial chapters are uninteresting and give a wrong impression of the book. It seems as if author just started writing before thinking of how to begin with chapters, but finally, the 5th chapter bought the interest in me to accelerate my reading speed. Then, "Impact of Mass Media" is sensibly written. "Early Bird catches the Worm" is the best of Nikhil's interpretations. "Myths about the opposite sex" is a 100% heart-winning chapter of this book. It is too perfect to believe. :-) And the last chapter of this book- "Suicide: Is she really worth it?" is the best chapter that the author chose to end his book with. Also, he has described this chapter more than any other chapters of this book to make it sure that any guy who would be thinking of doing this cowardly act will back off from his silly idea, and will live to gain something as Nikhil says in his Book-Profile too "Behind every successful guy there is a girl who rejects him, but then had she not dumped him, he would never have been successful!". The second half of this book is very very impressing. I found no flaw in the second-half. I am happy that Nikhil, nowhere, focused on the term "Love" but he made it sure that this book is targeted for those who want to impress their "Crush" or the one on whom they are "Infatuated" to.

             Some drawbacks of this book- As, I have said, initially the book is uninteresting. Rather than using "YOU" for several times, author could have used "WE" to make it sure that the failed guys reading this books may feel as if author is also one of them. Hence, it could have bought more effect in the personality of the reader. And I have a big problem with one suggestion that is given by Nikhil- "of developing the sense of humour". I personally feel that Sense of Humour is an in-built talent/personality which can't be developed(I may be wrong). Some Generalized Statements on girl is hard to digest. Because, not all girls are same. And to the Publisher of this book- Please correct all the Spelling Mistakes that you have avoided in the first print.

                As its hard to rate a Non-fiction book, I would prefer this book as a High-priority Recommendation to those who don't have guts to approach their Crush/Love, to those who think that Girls are the only target of life and to those who have broke up within few days of relationship and are still in doubt that what went wrong. Go For It!!! And the Girls, please don't read this book as you'll know all the secret that it is being told to loser like us :-) No, you can read too, because some times, even you fail.

   Thanks.

PARENTS or a SPOUSE of another caste ???

594th BLOG POST -->>

            Many experiences and many witnesses remain in your heart for a long period of time until one provokes that silent part of your emotional heart. You may have forgot the incident and being under the influence of some Motivating friends, you would have learned to leave sad things behind and go ahead with cool moments. But still, after years, when someone knocks that part of your life, you accuse the person for having the propensity of detriment-ing your peaceful life. Today, when I woke up, and I saw Mr. Perfectionist speaking on the topic of Inter-caste marriage, I went in those moments when one of my friend in Aurangabad was struggling to make his and her parents understand that Caste is just a human-formed groups and that should not come between the happiness of him and his girl. The day he told me about the whole love story of his, and how he has been with her for last 7 years without a single argument, and now just because he is from a caste (which comes under the reservation quota :-)) which the girl's parent considers to be too downtrodden than anything else, don't want to marry their daughter to him. He cried a lot and I had nothing to make him cheer up again.

             After few days, when I went back to that room in which he lived with 5 other roommates of his, I didn't find him. I asked them about him and I got a reply,"He is married and doesn't stay here anymore". I was shocked to hear this. I was too shock to digest that he has married within a fortnight with a girl whom he almost considered to be something that has gone very far away from him. I asked them about the girl he has married to. And they told me the whole incident. This guy, after getting it assured that the girl's parents will never accept him, decided to run away with the girl. They did it very soon and now they were somewhere of whom none of us knew about. I came back home in tears thinking about him. And then something struck to me. When he told the whole love story of his, he said that the girl never tried telling her parents that she is being committed to someone while the boy told his mother and sister about his relationship with her. Suddenly my mind changed its decision of who the main culprit was. It wasn't the girl's parents but it was the girl herself. There was no wrong in what her parents did to the quality relationship of these love birds.

              When, in the 4th week of Graduation, I got committed to a Muslim girl in my class, I came and told my parents about the new born love affair in my life. My mother started shouting and screaming on me because my past wasn't very favorable with Muslims. As I didn't have any issues with the religion (but with the people who did with me), I was open to have a relationship with a Muslim girl and make Muslim boys my best friend. My mother had no problem with my friendship with Muslims or anything, but she didn't want to have a Muslim girl as her daughter-in-law. I was awestruck at her decision. It was just the first day of my affair when I revealed this at home and I got this beautiful response from my dearly mother. After this, I never gave much attention to my affair as a boy should. And the sweet result came out after just 15 days of it: She asked for a break-up and I smilingly(with some tears too) opened the cage and made her fly in the air with liberty(to someone else). I told my parents about the Break-up on the day itself and I saw a very wicked smile on my mother's face which was too obvious to happen. :-)

           So, the conclusion is that- As I shared my inter-caste-relationship with my parents on the very first day of it, I got the response from them immediately. Now I had enough time to give an action to any of the two decisions- 1. To make my parents understand that everyone is Human and there's nothing called as Religion & Caste & 2. To give a final judgment to my relationship. I chose to go with the latter one as I didn't want to do anything in which my parents could never live in happiness. I must say that, for me, loving someone is Okay. But on the very 1st day when you get into an affair, you should share it with your parents.That makes them flexible to take any decision. Like even I told. But my affair broke up within 15 days :) And if your parents refuse to it, get away from the person or else try to make your parents understand either by yourself or through family friends. Any parent will agree after that. And even if they don't agree, stop your affair in its initial days itself. That is better. Leaving parents forever for your Love is so selfish! I just can't imagine myself playing wid hair of my lover-turned-wife by kicking away my mother's hand food & Dad's concern & care.

             What if your father decides to marry for the 2nd time without asking you and brings a new lady in the house? Will you ever accept this gesture of your Childhood Hero? This is the same what you do when you decide to inform your parents in the final days of marriage that you love someone else and want to bring him/her in house. They'll feel the same to see a new girl roaming in their house for whom they weren't prepared for. So, when you can reveal your love to your parents in the complicated stage, why can't you opine it in a very safe period itself? That will be beneficial to you only. THINK !!! LOVERS, THINK !!!

  Thanks.

The Unsaid Childhood Love Story !!! :-)

593rd BLOG POST -->>

            Ask anyone and he/she'll say that "School days were the best". Ask me, and I'll say the same. No, not because I liked those benches or those teachers or my school, but just because School days are those when we start learning new things. Here, new things does not mean the concepts, theories, mathematical formulas etc. It means those things that we were unable to share with our parents. :-) Those are the teenage days and hence, we loved to explore some mischievous sides of our childhood. Everyone loved to play the Love Percentage games on the last pages of the notebook. Everyone loved making paper-balls and throwing at our friends. Everyone loved playing X-O when the periods were on. Everyone loved to giggle when a friend used to give a wrong answer or get punished. Everyone loved to keep hands over mouth and talk with our bench partner. Everyone loved to make two friends fight while we were the main culprit because of whom both of them messed with each other. :-)

            One such sweet part of School Days was developing crush on someone. When the teacher used to teach us about how Aurangzeb jailed his own father- Shah Jahan behind the bars and how Assam's soil helps it to grow more tea and how Constitution works in the Parliament, we used to stare the most beautiful girl of our class. And some cool students like me, who always liked someone who had good features but still looked by none, ignored the most beautiful girl of the class and looked at her. And, few of us would be so lucky that the one whom we stared also stared at us after every 25 seconds. :-) Some of us were also caught by the teacher who used to say,"Mr. so and so, better than concentrating on her, concentrate on the blackboard." :-) After entering in our secondary school in 6th-7th std, we asked one of the girls living in the same colony to ask about the view our crush had about us. And she promised to help us by tomorrow and tell the results in tomorrow's maths tuition class. :-)

            And once our crush got the message that we are behind her, the smile started getting passed, the eyes started sharing glances while hand started trying to touch each other's hand when the girls and boys stood in the queue adjacent to each other while going to PT Exercise or any extra-curricular activity at the Assembly hall. :-) The celebration we had with our friends those who knew that we love her after touching her hand was just equivalent to the one when we touch our girlfriend's breast now-a-days. :-p In the school bus, when we were made to sit on the same seat as of her's, the trip almost became Ferrari ki Sawari for that 50 minutes of journey. :-) Similarly, when we were made to sit with our crush/class's most beautiful girl on the same bench for next 1 week, we prayed God for each second to move slowly. :-) Every time we were made to write something, rather than looking at our book while writing, we looked at her fallen hair over her notebook, her dedicated eyes towards the notebook, her nails which wanted to grow up but the school made her to keep it clipped and the pen which we targeted to steal one day just because her fingers touched it. :-)

            I still remember the moment in 6th std when I was made to sit with the class's most beautiful girl for next one month. She disliked whenever I banged the bench to create a music for the song that I used to sing in my heart. After many-a-times when she requested me to stop it, when she saw that this bloody idiot isn't going to leave this idiocy, she held my hand one day when I played the bench again. And, the moving hands of teacher ceased in a pose, children those were writing paused the very moment, the student playing on the playground stood like statue, the trees those were dancing because of the wind started staring at our hands.. and I, kept on looking at my lucky right wrist which was caught by her left hand. And, you can understand the condition of my heart in that very moment that I still remember it. :-) I still remember the day when I was made to hold the hand of my crush while practicing a lotus formation choreography in the Republic Day celebration. I used to make it sure that I stood just in the right side of hers so that I could get a chance to hold her hand and enhance the quality of my school days. And when we were brought close to our crush in school, either by making us to sit in the same bench, or by making her our Dance Partner in Annual Gathering, we started hating the two days holiday. We wanted school to happen every day. We wanted to see that beautiful face in each and every second we were in school.

           I also remember those depressing days when the most beautiful girl of the class or my crush used to be absent. How much I hated every teacher who asked me the questions, every boy who wanted me to talk nonsense with him and every hour which passed as slow as Dravid's knocking speed. :-) But, rather than mentioning those disheartening moments, I would like to move now with the nostalgic moments you are in after reading this. I hope your school's crush name came in front of your eyes after reading this and you have already searched her on Facebook and clicked on "Add Friend". :-)

   Thanks.
